Got a calorie, macro or body-fat number that doesn't match your own math? That's exactly what this form is for.

Reporting a formula or constant that looks off

Most of the useful messages we get are about a number that doesn't line up. If that's why you're writing, tell us which calculator you used, the exact inputs (height, weight, age, activity level or whatever the tool asks for), the result it gave you, and the number you expected instead. With those details, Chris can usually re-run the formula by hand the same day and either fix the calculator or explain the gap, which is most often a different activity multiplier or a rounding step a competing calculator handles differently.

Citing a newer source

The protein, hydration and macro ranges on this site come from the sources listed on the editorial standards page, each tied to a publication year. If a newer edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans or an updated position stand has superseded a figure we cite, send us the source and we'll update the page and note the change date, rather than editing it silently.

Expect a reply within one to two business days. We can't review your personal medical history or tell you what to eat; that's a job for a doctor or registered dietitian.
